finally finally managed to upload the photo. do you spot anything wrong with the photo? hahaha. i was staring into blank space when i suddenly realised that this place sells the cheapest satay in the whole of Singapore! hahahaha. instead of putting $0.40, it put 0.40 cents. which means that it's less than a single cent. i figured under normal circumstances it really isn't visible because we wouldn't even take note of it.
sometimes the human mind just overlooks things that seems so logical to it. we doubt, because we cling on so hard to our own concepts and preconceived notions. does that make sense to you?
we fail to observe the observable, all because we have selective observation. we pick out things that we think are important to us. that's why we do not see the big picture. that's why misunderstandings happen. everyone has different priorities. different things that matter to them.
caught dead silence with siqi they all after their exams! i waited for 45 mins! haha so proud of myself. meanwhile i walked around in cathay's gramophone, browsing through their cds and looking at their classical collection. how come i didn't see BOND! i like their music it's cool. (:
recently i'm into classical music. it's kinda random but ya it soothes the soul and is melodious to the ear. and it's versatile too. hehe.
dead silence was gross. because of the dolls and all. but because of that show i learnt that the term ventriloquist actually means belly speaker. and it was thought to have a connection with the dead in the 6th century. cool eh! haha i like to learn new things everyday.
attempted to fly kite on friday! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. they bought the kite which did not have strings attached, so we self invented our own ways of tying the kite. apparently we didn't use the right method because we did not manage to successfully lift the kite high up into the sky. it was rather hilarious though, with ken's pulley method. i got myself all muddy and dirty because i tried to run in the field patch beside the church and ended stepping into the mud hahaha! though it was only chelle, joe and ken, i still enjoyed the experience! hehe.
cabbed home so that i could prepare for mum's birthday celebration! hee. headed down to vivo with my sisters. and we were all such pretty ladies! hahah! caught evan almighty! it's a really meaningful show! "if you prayed for family unity, would God give you family unity or grant you opportunites to build up family unity? if you prayed for strength to change the world, would God help you change the world or give you opportunities to change the world?"
that's really true. set me thinking. sometimes we pray to God for love, for encouragement. but. would we just wake up one day and feel that we're full of love and encouragement? hahaha. God just places the right people in our lives so that we could love the unlovable, and encourage the discouraged. ain't it true. the show's really cool.
sometimes we neglect the beautiful things in our life. we destroy friendships that could have lasted. we don't make attempts to save friendships. we just let it go. we don't think much. we let it fade away.
today i thought of a friend. someone whom i haven't gone out with in forever. i used to be really close to her. and till today i don't know why she lied to me. but i want to find out the truth. and i want to know the answer. i never gave up on her, but i don't know if she knows this.
because as a friend i love her. that's why i never blamed her. and i hope one day she would know. that i'm still waiting for her to tell me the answer. =D
