HAPPY MOTHERS' DAY! (:
yes and i just came back from the celebration with 2 other families.
went to upper thomson road to eat and it was kinda cute because i had one girl sitting on my lap and the other by my side. and the girl was playing cooking mama on her ds(which reminds me of manda and siqi) and guess what! she's from PL! (: that's like the 10th batch since mine hahha! ok i'm old i know. :P
and it was quite funny, cos michelle(the girl from PL) was talking to me about high school musical and how she liked one of the female leads(she named the girl but i can't remember her name now) and then the other girl just came up with some random thing.
michelle: i like XXX from high school musical!
other girl: i like pork!
HAHA it's so funny i laughed like mad! especially since they're kids. it's that happy-as-a-lark tone and the way they say it. it's the innocence that makes it all the more lovable.
i realise as you grow more aware of your surroundings you tend to become more conscious of how people look at you. that innocence in michelle just made her glow with radiance, and she really seemed like a little young angel with an invisible halo over her head. she spoke with such confidence (considering that she's only primary 1) and she just went on and on about how she had classmates with common names. "did you have any chloe in your class? i have 2 rachels in my class, 2 nicoles, 2 chloes and one rachel is the monitress and so is one nicole!"
adorable. (:
kids just blabber and blabber without really being concerned about how people look at them, and i'm zapped back to reality in the next moment by the adults sitting at the table. contrast always helps you see things clearer. doesn't it?
anyway after the entire dinner we went to lower peirce reservoir. it was poorly lit and there were (the things that manda doesn't like) sitting at the benches so as we strolled down we could sit 3 of them squeezing on one bench hahah. bench by bench they were there. (mylove don't freak out please hahaha!) as i took michelle and stella, the older sister of the other girl, in both hands, we strolled down the isle and talked about stuff(actually it was mostly stella and I cos she's p6!) hehe. michelle was just delighting at the torch she held in her hand and drawing shapes on the ground with that beam of light. how cute. (: it felt so warm and nice. (maybe those were just my motherly instincts HAHA ok don't laugh you all)
stella's matured for her age, and she was talking to me about the hailey(is that how you spell it?) comet and how she wants to be a scientist in future. it's always nice to talk to young girls because you see those lofty dreams and aspirations you once had in them. heh.
and after that little walk we had..
WE WERE MADE TO SING SHI SHANG ZHI YOU MAMA HAO BY THE SISTERS' MUM!
omg how horrible. and we all had to sing a song for them each. i can't believe she actually made all of us do it. it was some kind of on-the-spot performance. wah super thick-skinned! i thought she was just kidding about making us sing that mothers' day song, but apparently it wasn't the case because she made all of us stand in a line and sing it for all the mothers. omg. unique experience there though. hahaha!
went home after that. btw, stella sings really well but unfortunately she sings all those my-father-era's songs?! probably influenced by her mum(the one who made us all sing!!!!)
hahaha. (:
anyway i'm going to sleep early and make sure i catch the bus tomorrow!
DID YOU KNOW last friday qing and i missed 5 buses of 8 and 2 buses of 15 because they were all too full to board OMG?! within a span of 20mins. to top it all off we took the 7.50am bus. it was a horrible experience but thank God she was there with me! and by the time i board the next 8 i saw elaine and went to class with her! (: God is great, all the time. =D
thank God for everything. (:
