sundown marathon last night/this morning, and i was smiling at all the runners throughout the night so my cheekbones got kinda sore but still, it was well worth it! (:
"thanks for the smile/you've got a sweet smile" etc.
i guess it was some sort of encouragement to them because i didn't know how else i could help them except smile! while watching the people run past me i'm so glad i didn't have to run 42/84km! it requires a whole lot of training man. and i'm amazed at the fact that some people actually ran the 84km run which started from 8pm and probably lasted till 7am in the morning? it's amazing.
speaking of amazing stuff, I REALISED I HAVE KNOWN KEITH FOR 13 YEARS! ultra ultra fantastically amazing. i was asking him what time this event was gonna end this morning, and he told me 8. so i said "ah i don't think i can make it to church" and we continued talking about church till he said "oh i was from tpmc" EH?! and in those days we called each other by our chinese names and he said his was duan hui and it rang a bell! then we carried on chatting and OMG we really grew up together even though we didn't interact much. ah we were in kindgarten/primary school then, otherwise known as the boys vs girls era. the i don't like girls, i don't like guys time you know! hahaha.
it's AMAZING what transpired between our lives in this 13 years, and i found out he was yinzhou's friend. and he attended the same obs as yinzhou, which =same as me! (coming to that, i think i finally found out from him why yinzhou remembers me. keith says he thinks it's because i splashed water at him. but we were in the sea?! and we were kayaking. don't splash water splash what HAHA!) ah God's amazing.
we talked about a lot of random stuff, and he says my eyes hasn't changed a bit. (did you know the size of your eyes don't change from the time you're born?) hahaha. now that's why! came home and slept the entire day, woke up a while, ate and slept again. hahaha i know that sounds like a pig but woot.
towards the end of the event it was rather disorganized, becaus we weren't allowed to go home though we were sitting under the tentage doing nothing and we had been sleeping for an hour already. reason being cos we needed to wait for everyone to gather and take attendance. which in our evaluation wasn't really a valid reason at all cos they could have just taken our attendance on the spot and cleared us. but in the end they let us off at 8 odd and we were kinda annoyed by then already. xuan was like WOOT. super angry but it wasn't without for a good cause aye.
